Thursdays @ the VT: Naked Souls

The music of Naked Souls can most succinctly be described as "California acoustic soul," but what the laidback San Francisco-based band really aims to play are songs that make you feel good--and maybe even do good. UC Irvine alum Paul Suhr is a founder of the cajón-tapping, bass-plucking, message-bearing quartet, which performed on the John Lennon Bus stage at NAMM in Anaheim last month, and recently released its sophomore album, Riders.

When: Thursday, Sept. 26 at 8 p.m.
Where: The Village Theatre

Oktoberfest at Forest Homes Farms

Celebrate Oktoberfest in San Ramon! The San Ramon Historic Foundation is presenting the first-ever Oktoberfest as a fundraiser for San Ramon Historic Park on Saturday, September 28 at the farm. Live music, dancing, German food and beer by Schubros Brewery in San Ramon.

When: Saturday, Sept. 28, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Forest Home Farms Historic Park, 19953 San Ramon Valley Blvd., San Ramon
Cost: $30. Includes beer stein, one beer, and soft pretzel
