Snow Frosts Mt. Diablo Summit

Yeah. It's cold. Just ask the devil mountain. Low temperature of 34 degrees predicted for Wednesday in the flatlands of the Diablo Valley. Share your photos here.

The clouds crowding the broad shoulders of Mount Diablo parted for a brief time Tuesday afternoon and allowed a photograph of acres of white dusting at the summit.

One of the featured photos in our gallery was taken from the Camino Verde Trail on Acalanes Ridge on the border of Lafayette and Walnut Creek.

Down in the flatlands, Wednesday's forecast calls for a high of 59 and a low of 34 degrees. A couple of times a winter you might get snow at the summit, which leads you to look up the Wikipedia entry for Mount Diablo and confirm that the summit is 3,864 feet.

Did you drive up to the summit and play in the snow? Share your pictures by clicking on the green "Upload photos and videos" button on this story. Or if you went up there and scored mightily in a snowball fight, tell the world in our comment section below.

David et al: Here's what the FAA said: "Radar replays show an F18 flew right over DanvilleRead More northeast-bound at 3,500 feet at exactly 10:45, and then started to climb, which would create more noise as the pilot applied more engine power."
