Yes, Veteran's Day was Sunday, but I wanted to give the community a chance to honor the veterans in the community on San Ramon and Danville Patch.
One of my favorite stories I've done with Patch was back in November 2010, when I wrote about Matthew Carhart, an Iraq War veteran who had moved to San Ramon and was tansitioning into his non-military life.
Danville lost one of their own last year, when Cpl. Joshua "Chachi" Corral was killed serving in Afghanistan. But Danville has rallied behind the Corral family with a number of fundraisers to help support the Corral's and other military families.
