Donate Old Backpacks so They Can Be Packed With Love

The Mascali sisters are back at it this summer, packing hundreds of backpacks with school supplies for underprivileged kids in the East Bay.

Madi, a 10th grader at San Ramon Valley High, and Kinsey, a seventh grader at Valley Christian Junior High, are in their seventh year of their "Packs With Love" summer and are aiming to fill 600 backpacks this summer.

It's the most ambitious goal yet for the sisters and they are looking for help from the Danville community. The sisters ask you to bring old backpacks to: 651 Dunhill Drive in Danville or to Dr. Anthony's Orthodontics Office in Blackhawk Plaza or to the Info Desk at the Stoneridge Shopping Center.

Also, Madi told Patch, "If local business can do a supply drive this summer to collect crayons, pencils and spiral notebooks that would be AMAZING!"

The backpacks are given to the Teen Challenge in Oakland, Shelters Inc in Concord, the Richmond School District and InnVision Shelters in San Jose.
