Danville Street Closures for Primo's Run

Closures will begin at 6 a.m. Sunday for the half-marathon race that will start in Danville and end in San Ramon.

Danville Police will be carrying out a “rolling street closure” this weekend for the annual Primo’s Run.

Participants in the half marathon on Sunday will be starting off in downtown Danville and winding their way through several neighborhoods before ending their 13.1 mile run in San Ramon.

Closures will begin at 6 a.m. on Diablo Road between Hartz Avenue and Front Street. Once the race begins at 7:30 a.m., police will stay ahead of the runners and close off the streets along the route. Closures include:

  • Diablo Road between Hartz Avenue and Front Street;
  • Hartz Avenue between Linda Mesa Avenue and Prospect Avenue
  • Front Street between Diablo Road and Hartz Way
  • Hartz Way between Front Street and Laurel Drive
  • Laurel Drive between Hartz Way and the entrance to the Freitas Trail
  • Morninghome Road between Freitas Road and Old Farm Road
  • Old Farm Road between Morninghome Road and Contada Circle
  • Contada Circle between Old Farm Road and Thornhill Drive
  • Thornhill Drive between Contada Circle and Old Orchard Drive
  • Old Orchard Drive between Thornhill Drive and Sycamore Valley Road
  • Greenbrook Drive between Sycamore Valley Road and Paraiso Drive
  • Paraiso Drive between Greenbrook Drive and Everett Drive
  • Everett Drive between Paraiso Drive and Brookside Drive
  • Brookside Drive between Everett Drive (near Sycamore Valley Road) and Osage Station Park
  • El Capitan Drive between Osage Station Park and Greenbrook Drive
  • Greenbrook Drive between El Capitan Drive and Brookside Drive
  • St. Christopher Way from Greenbrook Drive to St. David Drive, then St. David Drive to Harlan Drive, then Harlan Drive to Greenbrook Drive
  • Paraiso Drive between Brookside Drive and El Capitan, then El Capitan to Orange Blossom Way, and Rhett Place east of Orange Blossom Way
