Danville Sports Fields Closed for the Winter
Starting today, all natural grass sports field in Danville are closed until March 1.
The annual closure of the natural grass sports fields in Danville started today, the Town of Danville announced Monday.
This includes all grass field maintained by the town and the San Ramon Valley Unified School District. It also includes the Canine Corral Dog Park at Hap Magee Ranch.
Maintenance Services Manager Jed Johnson said that the moratorium gives staff a chance to conduct routine maintenance and rest the fields, as well as the re-sodding of the large dog park.

Weather permitting, the fields are scheduled to re-open to public use on Saturday, March 1, 2013.
