Video: Scariest Haunted House in Danville Designed by 13-Year-Old

Casey Ricky turned his Magee Ranch home into a house of horrors for Halloween.

A graveyard, strobe lights, streamers, clowns that jump out at you, monster-like creatures and creepy little girls, the haunted house in the Magee Ranch development had a litlte bit of everything on Halloween night.

And it was designed by a 13-year-old.

The extravagant haunted house, that had five different rooms and a half dozen actors, was the brainchild of Casey Ricky, a Los Cerros Middle School eighth grader.

This is the second year Ricky went all-out on the haunted house that's located at his every day home on Brightwood Lane.

He started thinking about what he wanted to do in March and about two weeks before Halloween he began turning what was in his head into a reality.

It looked like an expensive endeavor, but Ricky said that everything in his haunted house was either hand-made or bought in a thrift store.

"I was actually scared of haunted houses as a kid," Ricky said. "But I liked decorating for Christmas, and my grandpa talked about making a haunted house when he was a kid, so that kind of gave me the idea."

It gave plenty of trick-or-treaters a scare Wednesday, with about 400 people braving through the house and many going back for seconds.
