TV ME! Writers & Creatives

TV ME! -- the nationwide "pitch" contest originating out of Sarasota County, Florida's film commission, gives you TEN chances to be a winner - but you have to HURRY as the deadline is January 31st 2012!
-All entries must be submitted on line at http://www.filmsarasota.com/tv-me-contest

Awards are given to three first place winners, three second place winners and three third place winners in the different categories, and one GRAND PRIZE WINNER overall receives those prizes plus is escorted to Los Angeles for personal meetings with television, cable, network, production company and other executives to "pitch" their winning concept in person! This year we have upped the Grand Prize to include VIP Full Access attendance  to the InkTip Pitch and Networking Summit (a $660 value).

Here is the basic overview: No need to be a trained or professional scriptwriter, just submit a five to fifteen (5-15) page pitch of a new, creative, unique and fresh idea for television content in any one or more of the three categories (see the link for specific details). The entrant must be over 18 years old and a permanent resident of the continental United States, and have full right to the concept being pitched.

YOU MUST SUBMIT ENTRIES VIA THE LINK PROVIDED IN THIS DESCRIPTION: http://www.filmsarasota.com/tv-me-contest  The guidelines, entry form, etc. are at that link, including the breakdown of the three categories. The entry fee during is $30 per entry and payable online. Win prizes and awards, enjoy a press conference and awards luncheon for the winners, and if you're the Grand Prize Winner, we take you to Los Angeles to pitch in person As well as full pass entry to InkTip Summit!
Unlike ordinary competitions that require submission of full-length screenplays for movies, scripts for television, or manuscripts for novels -- which can range from 90 pages to 350 pages -- the TV ME! Contest requires only five-to-15-page pitches of a concept for television programming.

Individuals and creative teams can compete for awards and prizes in three different categories:

•        scripted series (from comedy to drama, animated to children’s programs, science fiction to hybrids and other genres of recurring and/or series television);

•        unscripted/partially scripted (reality programs, game shows, demonstration/training programs such as cooking, crafts, skills, documentary, interview and expose programs, etc.);  and

•        one-offs (single standalone programs such as a mini-series , a movie-of-the-week, an award or sporting event, a special televised gala, benefit, tribute,  fundraiser, concert, staged performance, etc.).

To enter or obtain more details, visit  http://www.TVMEcontest.com or send email to request information:  TVme@filmsarasota.com .
