Spring: A Time of Hope (From The Alamo Women's Club)

Alamo Women's Club Presents "Together We Give" -- Earth Day, Sunday, April 22, 2012 Community Donation Day Benefiting Local Charities.

As spring approaches us on March 20, it is a symbol of hope, rebirth, renewal, and re-growth. The birds chirp, flowers blossom and that precious, nourishing Sun graces us with its warmth.

The Sun with its nutrients, that ever so important Vitamin D utilized to take the “blues away.” We see everything come to life including humanity, our families walking, kids in strollers with dogs promptly at the side, and, of course, are well-known “bike riders” ready to show the World we are here.

The question becomes how do we take those feelings of hope to the next level of action?

Well, the has the answer for you. When was the last time you looked at your garage, your closet, and anywhere else you have managed to store those things that you said, “I just might use this again so I will keep it.”

So this is when you must go to your heart and ask for the truth: "Will I really use it again?"

If the answer is, "No, I think I will give it to somebody who will."

Guess what? You just created hope for someone else and that is how easy it is.

And the Alamo Women’s Club has made it even easier by providing a location where you can donate those items you no longer need to Charities who do.

Please join us for “Together We Give” -- Earth Day, Sunday, April 22 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Alamo Women’s Club, 1401 Danville Blvd.

For more details, see the attached flyer.

Wishing you a beautiful spring full of joy,

Pamela Singh on behalf of The Alamo Women’s Club Members
