The East Bay SPCA is offering up to 100 free spay and neuter surgeries for Chihuahuas, pit bulls and cats on Feb. 28, World Spay Day.
To qualify for this free service, you must:
- Be on some form of government assistance such as food stamps, WIC, disability or unemployment.
- Have proof that you live in Alameda or Contra Costa County. A current Driver's License or California ID with an Alameda or Contra Costa County address on it is acceptable.

East Bay SPCA Tri-Valley is a privately funded non-profit with Adoption Centers in Dublin and Oakland. The establishment offers pet adoption, dog training, pet boarding, educational classes about animals for kids, spay and neuter surgeries, as well as vet care and microchip procedures for animals.
Volunteers are welcome for a variety of positions.
