Singer-songwriter Dan Hicks is an American original, one of the defining figures in American roots music. Hicks carves his way through a number of genres, from Tin Pan Alley jazz to western swing and country blues, to create the appealing sound he calls "folk jazz." His lyrics range from the simply sublime to the sublimely ridiculous, all presented with his uniquely skewed and inscrutable touch. Hick's irresistible sense of rhythm, hip lyrical styling, laid-back vocalizing, and infamous on-stage wit turns those who hear him into fans for life.

More About Bankhead Theater
Bankhead Theater is the cultural center of Livermore. The theater is the hub for The Livermore Performing Arts Center and was newly built and created in September of 2007 to be a world-class performing arts center. Equipped with state-of-the-art amenities, the sound in the facility is uncanny. The seats are extremely comfy and it exudes an atmosphere of class.
Shows range from off-Broadway to local performances of old classics, by local, national and international talent. The mission of the Livermore Performing Arts Center is to enhance the public's appreciation, enjoyment and understanding of the arts.
