Three Teens Arrested After Clubhouse Shooting
No one was injured Saturday night when a teen fired shots into the Sycamore Clubhouse on Old Orchard Drive during a party.
Three teens were arrested Saturday after a shooting at the Sycamore Homes Association clubhouse that damaged a window in the clubhouse but did not hurt anyone.
At 11:31 p.m., Saturday, officers responded to gun shots fired into a teen party at the clubhouse at 635 Old Orchard Drive, said Sgt. Allan Shields. Witnesses described a man firing a gun into the air and at the clubhouse. One of the shots hit a window on the building.
The shooter fled in a car with three other teens before the police arrived at the clubhouse. Police saw the car on Interstate 680 and with help from Contra Costa County Sheriff's deputies, pulled them over near Stone Valley Road. Police say the four teens were not from Danville.
Three of the teens were arrested and booked into Juvenile Hall in Martinez. The driver of the vehicle was booked for possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of stolen property and possession of a concealed and loaded firearm. Two other teens were booked for shooting into an inhabited dwelling. The fourth teen was released to his mother.
Police said the clubhouse was rented to people from outside the Sycamore Homes Association that night.
Charges through the District Attorney's office are pending, as the investigation is still going on.
Anyone with information regarding the shooting is encouraged to call Detective Ben Alldritt of the Danville Police Department at 925-314-3700.
