My Danville: Elizabeth Rossiter
Danville residents and those who grew-up here put in their two cents about life in Danville.
Name: Elizabeth Rossiter
Where did you go to high school? San Ramon Valley High. I graduated in 2006, and am still proud to be a wolf!
Where did you go to college? Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo .
What did you major in? Agricultural business with a concentration in marketing.
What are your post-graduation plans? Now that I've graduated, I have a job that starts in August doing sales for an internet company based in downtown San Francisco, which I'm surprisingly really excited about. Until then I am relaxing in Danville and soaking up what is sure to be my last free summer for awhile, hopefully making a few visits to see college and high school friends who have spread out all over the country
What do you miss most about Danville? I absolutely love Danville, and feel so lucky to call it home. One of Cal Poly's greatest strengths has been its proximity to Danville, just over three hours away. This allowed me to visit home somewhat often throughout my college career, a luxury that many of my friends from high school didn't have. When I was at school, I missed many things about Danville— my parents, two younger brothers, and my dog. I also missed our wonderful street and neighborhood, where my neighbors are also like family. I missed going to lunch, or coffee or shopping and seeing about ten different people I know. I'm excited to be returning to the Bay Area, and be only a short 45 minute BART ride away from Danville.
