The Peasant and the Pear is one of the best meals I've had in the bay area. We started out with the Pear Burrata. It was a complex mixture of sweet mozzarella and pear compote. I had the Bistro Steak Frites. The steak was juicy and cooked perfectly. The wine we ordered is the Bennet Lane Maximus Cabernet. An excellent choice. That said, the cherry on top for us was the stunning service we received while dinning. Our waitress was attentive without being intrusive and we had a few good laughs with her. I can't say enough good things, she was just wonderful. —Eric R.
