Lifesaving App Developed by SRV Fire District Will Expand to San Jose
Discussion with 150 other agencies nation-wide for expansion of app as well.
San Jose residents will soon have access to a lifesaving app developed by the San Ramon Valley Fire District.
The app alerts users when someone nearby needs CPR. It also will list automated external defibrillator located nearby.
We recently reported that the app, which is now being expanded by the nonprofit PulsePoint, is now available for Android users. The app first hit the public in January 2011, originally developed by the San Ramon Valley Fire District.

Have you had to use it at all? It's a very useful app. Makes me want to take a CPR class.
