If your dad is like mine, the perfect Father's Day, this year on Sunday, June 20, will be spent grilling in the backyard with the family ready to eat his fine barbequed creations.
However, maybe you want to try something different this year, or checkout a few things around town before the grill-fest begins. Here are a few ideas.
And leave a comment and let us know if you have a great idea to add!
Blackhawk Automotive Museum's Cruising the Classics
Sunday, June 20, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
For car enthusiasts, you can never visit the Blackhawk Musuem too many times and on Fatheris' Day they've got a special, Cruising the Classics event, just for dads and the family.
Dads get in free as does anyone who brings in a Hot Rod, Classic or Muscle car (although Dads can bring whatever car they want). There will be a $5 registration for each vehicle and each driver will get a commemorative dash plaque.
The festivities will include live music by Juke Joint—a band that plays Memphis Soul and R&B, free samples of Dryer's ice cream, kids activities, tours of the museum and a clown that makes balloon animals.
Regular museum admission is $10 for adults, $7 for students (with valid ID)
