Fire Department's Web Site Gets Top Honors
Fresh off a Webby Award nomination, the fire department brings home more top honors for its Web site.
The San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District's Web site did it again.
Just two weeks ago the fire department was nominated for the prestigious Webby Award by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences.
And then, a few days later, the FireDepartment.org received top honors by the California Association of Public Information Officers with an "Excellence in Communication" award. The fire department's Web site was recognized for its "outstanding communication platform and the overall presentation of the site."
"FireDepartment.org is our primary community outreach and public communication tool," said Fire Chief Richard Price in a statement today. "We are honored that the State of California's premiere communication association has recognized our efforts with this award."
