In the hills between Dublin and Castro Valley, just to the south of Highway 580, more than 100 children competed Saturday in the 49th annual Rowell Ranch Junior Rodeo, sponsored by 30 businesses.

With competitions like chute dogging, goat tying, open steer stopping and more, young cowboys and cowgirls brought their A game, competing for cash and buckles. 

The event wraps up Sunday. More information and results will be available in the next couple of days on the Rowell Ranch Junior Rodeo website
