UPDATE: New Details in Christmas Eve Robbery

Danville police arrest San Ramon and Castro Valley teens who they say robbed a juvenile at gunpoint.

The Dec. 24 armed robbery of a 15-year-old Danville boy was not a random act by strangers but was committed by two teens of whom the victim had "peripheral knowledge," Danville Police Chief Steve Simpkins said Friday.

While the victim didn't call his assailants friends or even acquaintances, he knew the two well enough to get into their truck, Simpkins said. So far, Simpkins added, there is no indication the robbery involved a drug deal.

Authorities say the two suspects, a 16-year-old from Castro Valley and an 18-year-old from San Ramon, robbed the Danville teen in front of a house on Meese Court.

The suspects were driving a white Ford pick-up truck and approached the victim.

Authorities said one of the suspects exited the vehicle and the victim got in the truck. The victim was then robbed at gunpoint by one of the suspects.

They took the victim’s wallet, cell phone and identification. They released him and drove off, authorities said.

Police announced Thursday they had arrested the Castro Valley teen on suspicion of being the gunman and booked him on charges of robbery with an enhancement for using a gun during a crime.

Police on Dec. 28 arrested the 18-year-old San Ramon resident Ibraham D’Bouk. He has been charged with robbery.

Where and what news article does it state this? Even if the victim has been know to deal does it mean he can't be robbed? Where does it state that this was a deal gone wrong? If there is a news article that mentions this please place the link. Ones past does not mean it is a present issues.

I caught my son smoking marijuana with this boy, and found text messages advertising marijuana from him with prices included. My son although not being involved in the incident said it most likely was just this kid being robbed of his marijuana, and honestly it makes sense. The kid went into the Vehicle...but for what reason? He obviously did not know the two kids who robbed him very well or else he could have named the two who robbed him when he called the police, instead he didn't even know their names and the police had to search. For what other reason than to sell drugs do you get into some random person's car?

To be quite honest I find this very alarming. I have been keeping a very close eye on my son ever since this incident and I refuse to let him around the San Ramon skatepark, it seems that's where all of this stuff happens. I'd advise you all to do the same with your children.

Again nothing from the police or a new agency about a drug relation. We can assume all we want but innocent until proven guilty.
