Today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day and to celebrate the storied civil rights activist, the MLK peacemakers of San Ramon Valley are sponsoring an MLK Jr. celebration at the San Ramon Valley United Methodist Church at 7 p.m.

Rep. George Miller (D-Martinez) is expected to attend.

San Ramon Valley United Methodist Church is located at 902 Danville Blvd. in Alamo.
